Interactive Brokers (NASDAQ: IBKR) announced the release of Investment Themes, a discovery tool that helps investors explore market trends and identify investment opportunities across the S&P 1500 universe. The tool is powered by Reflexivity and is available at no additional cost to IBKR clients worldwide.

The Investment Themes tool allows investors to search for companies by entering themes such as "Generative AI" or "Nuclear Energy" without requiring ticker symbols or prior research. The platform covers approximately 500 business areas and industry trends, using a proprietary scoring system that evaluates factors including revenue exposure, strategic importance, and capital expenditures related to specific themes.

The tool integrates with IBKR's existing trading platforms and includes features that allow users to examine competitive landscapes, global revenue footprints, and regional risk exposure. Each S&P 1500 company profile now includes an Investment Themes tab in the Fundamentals Explorer, providing information about the company's products, competitors, and related industries.

"Investment Themes will help our clients turn raw relationship data into a narrative that they can trade on," said Steve Sanders, EVP of Marketing and Product Development at Interactive Brokers. "It's about helping investors turn curiosity into conviction more efficiently."

The underlying technology was developed by Reflexivity, which uses a proprietary knowledge graph to map relationships between companies and their business drivers. Jan Szilagyi, Co-founder and CEO of Reflexivity, stated that the initiative demonstrates how AI can deliver value to institutions focused on client experience.

Investment Themes is currently in beta on most platforms and will be generally available shortly. Users can access the tool through Trader Workstation's "New Window" menu or through the Investment Theme tab in Fundamentals Explorer. The tool is also available on IBKR Mobile and IBKR Desktop platforms.
