Susquehanna analyst Bascome Majors raised the price target on Norfolk Southern (NYSE: NSC) to $285.00 (from $280.00) while maintaining a Neutral rating.
The analyst comments "NSC delivered a solid 3Q in Mark George's first quarter with the CEO reins, while threading the needle on managing super-seasonal 4Q expectations. We like NSC's story here as cash flow inflects; we just don't love the valuation. NSC reported adjusted 3Q24 EPS of $3.25 (excludes net $1.60 line gains, insurance recoveries, and restructuring), $0.21 above our $3.04 and $0.14 above consensus."
