BMO Capital analyst Jeffrey Silber reiterated an Outperform rating and $16.00 price target on Laureate Education Inc (NASDAQ: LAUR)

The analyst comments "LAUR reported an adjusted EBITDA beat on the quarter. The big headline for the quarter was the Peruvian primary intake period, which we feared would be weak given prior commentary and the ongoing recession in Peru. However, new enrollments fell just 3% y/y, less than we thought. Though not out of the woods just yet, management sounded more optimistic on a Peruvian economic recovery in 2H24. Management mostly maintained f/x neutral 2024 guidance. We slightly adjust our estimates."
