After-hours movers: Microsoft, AMD, Alphabet, and Tesla
After-Hours Stock Movers:
Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) stock declined 1.2% despite reporting better than expected quarterly earnings per share and revenue, as cloud growth disappointed investors.
Google’s parent Alphabet Inc. (NASDAQ: GOOGL) declined 4% despite a better than expected headline print. Ad revenue likely disappointed investors. Meta Platforms (NASDAQ: META) and Snap (NYSE: SNAP) were lower in sympathy.
AMD (NASDAQ: AMD) shares fell 3.3% after its forecast for first quarter revenue trailed estimates.
Mondelez (NASDAQ: MDLZ) declined 4% after it reported worse than expected EPS to end 2023. Fourth quarter revenue was in line.
Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA) declined 2% after a judge voided Elon Musk’s $55 billion pay package.
Stryker (NYSE: SYK) climbed 3.5% after reporting better than expected earnings and revenue in the fourth quarter.
Starbucks (NASDAQ: SBUX) initially traded lower after it reported EPS and revenue that trailed estimates, but the stock reversed and gained 3%. Global comparable store sales increased 5%.
