Tesla (TSLA) sues Swedish Govt over blocked license plates

Business daily Dagens Industri reported Monday morning that electric automaker, Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA) has filed a lawsuit against the Swedish government's Transport Agency due to a workers' strike impeding the issuance of license plates for its new vehicles, as per a report by the on Monday.

The conflict between IF Metall, Sweden's largest manufacturing union, and Tesla revolves around securing a collective bargaining agreement for the mechanics in Sweden. This dispute led Metall to initiate a strike on October 27, where they declined to provide service to Tesla's vehicles.

In a show of solidarity, members from various other unions, such as postal workers, dockworkers, and cleaners, have also participated in this action. Consequently, Tesla has faced challenges in obtaining license plates among other issues.

Shares of TSLA are up 0.41% in pre-market trading on Monday.
