After-hours movers: Netflix surges on strong subscribers, Lam Research falls following results

After-Hours Stock Movers:

Netflix (NASDAQ: NFLX) 13% HIGHER; reported Q3 EPS of $3.73, $0.24 better than the analyst estimate of $3.49. Revenue for the quarter came in at $8.54 billion versus the consensus estimate of $8.54 billion. The company added 8.76 million Global Streaming Paid Memberships, versus the consensus of 6.2 million. In addition, the company said it will start raising prices.

Equifax (NYSE: EFX) 7% LOWER; reported Q3 EPS of $1.76, $0.03 worse than the analyst estimate of $1.79. Revenue for the quarter came in at $1.32 billion versus the consensus estimate of $1.33 billion. Equifax sees Q4 2023 revenue of $1.31-1.33 billion, versus the consensus of $1.34 billion.

Las Vegas Sands (NYSE: LVS) 5% HIGHER; reported Q3 EPS of $0.55, in-line with the analyst estimate of $0.55. Revenue for the quarter came in at $2.8 billion versus the consensus estimate of $2.72 billion. Also, authorized a $2 billion stock buyback plan.

Lam Research (NASDAQ: LRCX) 4% LOWER; reported Q1 EPS of $6.85, $0.78 better than the analyst estimate of $6.07. Revenue for the quarter came in at $3.48 billion versus the consensus estimate of $3.41 billion. Lam Research sees Q2 2024 EPS of $7.75-$6.25, versus the consensus of $6.79. Lam Research sees Q2 2024 revenue of $4-3.4 billion, versus the consensus of $3.65 billion.

Discover Financial Services (NYSE: DFS) 3% LOWER; reported Q3 EPS of $2.59, $0.58 worse than the analyst estimate of $3.17. Revenue for the quarter came in at $4.04 billion versus the consensus estimate of $3.95 billion.

Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA) 1% HIGHER; reported Q3 EPS of $0.66, $0.07 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.73. Revenue for the quarter came in at $23.4 billion versus the consensus estimate of $24.32 billion. Also, announced a Nov. 30 delivery event for its Cybertruck.
