Fisker (FSR) inks deal with Tesla (TSLA) to adopt NACS by 2025
California-based, emerging electric vehicle maker, Fisker Inc. (NYSE: FSR) announced Tuesday morning that the automaker has signed an agreement with Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA) to adopt the North American Charging Standard (NACS) starting in 2025.
This decision offers Fisker vehicle owners more charging possibilities by utilizing Tesla's extensive network of 12,000 Supercharger stations across the United States and Canada. The agreement covers all existing and forthcoming Fisker vehicle models.
Fisker joins rival automotive OEMs Ford, General Motors, Mercedes-Benz, Nissan, Polestar, Rivian, and Volvo who have all announced their adoption of the Tesla standard.
Earlier this month, FSR reported second-quarter FY23 sales of $825,000, missing the analyst consensus of $20.40 million and EPS loss of $(0.25), beating the analyst consensus estimate of $(0.31).
Shares of FSR are up 1.44% in pre-market trading Tuesday.
