Tesla (TSLA) plans to cut prices in Hong Kong by up to 14.7%
Electric vehicle maker, Tesla (NASDAQ: (TSLA) announced that it will adjust the prices of its Model 3 and Model Y vehicles in Hong Kong by up to 14%. The price adjustments will take place on April 15th.
The biggest price reduction in this price adjustment is Model 3 Performance. The "one-for-one" price starts at 440,335 yuan, a decrease of 14.7%. The second is the Model 3 long battery life version. The "one-for-one" price is 399,485 yuan, a decrease was 11.06%. As for the Model Y long battery life version and Performance version, the prices will also be reduced by 8.7% and 9.03% respectively, to 459,685 yuan and 487,205 yuan.
Only the Model 3 and Model Y rear-drive versions have remained unchanged in price, and the "one-for-one" prices start at 341,200 yuan and 367,100 yuan respectively.
Tesla also announced the launch of its Loot Box treasure box referral program. Every time relatives and friends use an exclusive referral link to purchase Tesla products, both parties can earn points to redeem rewards, including super charging miles, products and accessories.
Shares of TSLA are up 0.24% in pre-market trading on Wednesday.
