MasterCard (NYSE: MA) reported Q1 EPS of $2.76, $0.59 better than the analyst estimate of $2.17. Revenue for the quarter came in at $5.2 billion versus the consensus estimate of $4.91 billion.

First quarter gross dollar volume up 17% and purchase volume up 21%, on a local currency basis.
