Coupa Software (COUP) Shares Up 6% After-Hours Following Q2 Beat

Coupa Software Incorporated (NASDAQ: COUP) shares are trading more than 6% higher after-hours following the company’s reported strong Q2 results. Quarterly EPS came in at $0.26, better than the consensus estimate of ($0.06). Total revenues grew 42% year-over-year to $179.2 million, beating the Street estimate of $162.97 million. Subscription revenues came in at $156.2 million, increasing 40% year-over-year.

"Digitizing and optimizing back-office operations is being prioritized as a key strategic initiative for our customers, and the Coupa platform is critical for their ability to develop agility and adaptability in these rapidly changing times," noted CEORob Bernshteyn.

The company provided Q3 guidance, with EPS expected to range from $0.01 to $0.03, better than the consensus estimate of ($0.08), and revenue is projected to be between $177 and 178 million, versus the Street estimate of $168.8 million.

For the full 2022-year, the company expects an EPS of $0.27-$0.29, versus the consensus estimate of ($0.15), and revenue expected to range from $706 to 708 million, above the consensus estimate of $687.2 million.
