Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) Reported Q3 EPS Beat, Revenue In Line With Consensus

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (NYSE: HPE) reported Q3 results, with EPS of $0.47, coming in above the Street estimate of $0.42.

Quarterly revenue of $6.9 billion was in-line with the consensus estimate of $6.91 billion, with Intelligent Edge revenue of $867 million (up 27% year-over-year), High Performance Compute & Mission Critical Systems (HPC & MCS) revenue of $741 million (up 11% year-over-year), Compute revenue of $3.1 billion (down 9% year-over-year), Storage revenue of $1.2 billion (up 4% year-over-year) and Financial Services revenue of $844 million (up 4% year-over-year).

According to Antonio Neri, the president and CEO of the company, the quarterly results were marked by strong order growth, profitability, and record-free cash flow. “I am pleased to see how our differentiated portfolio is resonating with the market, and our edge-to-cloud strategy is driving improved momentum across our businesses,” added Neri.

The company expects Q4 EPS to range from $0.44 to $0.52, versus the consensus of $0.49. For the full 2021-year, the company estimates EPS of $1.88-$1.96, versus the consensus of $1.89.

The company declared a regular cash dividend of $0.12 per share, payable on October 6, 2021, and reinstated its share repurchase program, targeting share repurchases of up to $250 million in Q4.
