The CRL cited deficiencies related to manufacturing and indicated that a reinspection will be necessary. The company is seeking further clarification from the FDA and plans to meet with the agency as soon as possible.
Dicerna Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: DRNA) 25.5% LOWER; announced positive top-line results from the Company’s PHYOX™2 pivotal clinical trial of nedosiran, which is in development as a once-monthly treatment for primary hyperoxaluria (PH), a family of ultra-rare, life-threatening genetic disorders that initially manifest with complications in the kidneys. Nedosiran is Dicerna’s lead GalXC™ RNAi therapeutic candidate and is designed to inhibit the hepatic lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) enzyme – an enzyme that catalyzes the final step in the glyoxylate metabolism pathway that can lead to oxalate overproduction in patients with PH. (together with certain of its affiliates, Clearlake), a leading private equity firm. Under the terms of the agreement, Clearlake will acquire the outstanding shares of Cornerstone common stock for $57.50 per share in cash. The transaction has an enterprise value of approximately $5.2 billion.
