Ametek (AME) Tops Q4 EPS by 5c, Offers Q1 and FY Guidance
Ametek (NYSE: AME) reported Q4 EPS of $1.08, $0.05 better than the analyst estimate of $1.03. Revenue for the quarter came in at $1.2 billion versus the consensus estimate of $1.2 billion.
GUIDANCE:
Ametek sees FY2021 EPS of $4.18-$4.30, versus the consensus of $4.26.
- "While uncertainty remains, our diverse end markets, record backlog and solid order momentum provide a positive outlook for the year ahead. For 2021, we expect overall sales to be up mid-single digits on a percentage basis compared to 2020. Adjusted earnings per diluted share are expected to be in the range of $4.18 to $4.30, an increase of 6% to 9% over the comparable basis for 2020," he added.
Ametek sees Q1 2021 EPS of $0.97-$1.02, versus the consensus of $1.02.
- At the midpoint of the outlook, the company expects 2021 revenue to be up approximately 12 percent in total versus 2020.
