Fluidigm Corporation (Nasdaq: FLDM) 14.8% HIGHER; announced that the company has received the CE-IVD mark for its Advanta Dx SARS-CoV-2 RT-PCR Assay, an extraction-free saliva-based test to detect nucleic acid from the SARS-CoV-2 virus. The CE-IVD mark is in conformance with the European Union In Vitro Diagnostic Directive.

Sierra Wireless (NASDAQ: SWIR) 12.4% HIGHER; announced that Kent Thexton plans to retire from his position as President & CEO. Kent has committed to remain with the Company until June 30th to allow his successor to be hired and to support an orderly transition. The Board of Directors have commenced a process to find Kent’s successor and have engaged a top tier executive search firm to undertake a search for his replacement. Sierra Wireless expects revenue to be above Street consensus of $116.5m in the Fourth Quarter of 2020, as well as being above Street consensus of $110.0 million in the First Quarter of 2021. The Company also expects to report approximately $170 million in cash and no debt at the end of December 31, 2020.

Precigen, Inc. (Nasdaq: PGEN) 8.1% LOWER; announced it has commenced an underwritten public offering of shares of its common stock. In addition, Precigen intends to grant the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase additional shares of its common stock. Global Ship Lease, Inc. (NYSE: GSL) 6.4% LOWER; intends to commence an underwritten public offering of its Class A common shares, par value $0.01 per share. The net proceeds of the Offering are expected to be used for funding the expansion of the Company’s fleet, general corporate purposes, and working capital.

Amarin Corporation plc (NASDAQ: AMRN) 5.7% HIGHER; announced that the Chinese Society of Cardiology (CSC) has included icosapent ethyl in its updated Guidelines for Primary Prevention of Cardiovascular Diseases for 2021 as published in the Chinese Journal of Cardiovascular Diseases. The guideline authors include icosapent ethyl 2 grams twice a day (as studied in REDUCE-IT®) as a treatment consideration to further lower atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) in the appropriate patient population.

PPG Industries (NYSE: PPG) 3.4% LOWER; reported Q4 EPS of $1.59, $0.02 better than the analyst estimate of $1.57. Revenue for the quarter came in at $3.8 billion versus the consensus estimate of $3.57 billion.
