Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN) is in early talks to invest in Rackspace Technology (NASDAQ: RXT), Reuters reported citing people familiar with the matter.

Under the deal being considered, Amazon would acquire a minority stake in Rackspace.

There is no certainty that a deal will be reached, the report added.

Rackspace is majority-owned by private equity firm Apollo Global (NYSE: APO), which recently took the company public.
