Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia reports 8.2% stake in Carnival Corp. (CCL)

The Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia reported a 8.2% stake in Carnival Corp. (NYSE: CCL), according to a just-released 13G filing with the SEC.

The firm reported owning 43,508,895 shares. The date of the event which required the 13G filing was March 26, 2020 (i.e. the date they surpassed 5% ownership).

The Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia is the sovereign wealth fund of Saudi Arabia.

The firm did not hold any shares of CCL at the end of December.

The cruise ship operator has been one of the most beaten-up stocks amid the coronavirus outbreak as its business has ground to a halt and a number of travelers on its ships have contracted the infection.
