Medifast (MED) Tops Q4 EPS by 59c, Revenues Beat; Offers Q1 & FY20 EPS/Revenue Guidance Below Consensus

Medifast (NYSE: MED) reported Q4 EPS of $1.66, $0.59 better than the analyst estimate of $1.07. Revenue for the quarter came in at $170.6 million versus the consensus estimate of $161.69 million.

Fourth Quarter 2019 Highlights Compared to Prior-Year Period

With the recent operational challenges that temporarily muted the growth of active earning Coaches and clients largely behind us, we expect to see our growth rate improve as the year progresses," said Dan Chard, Chief Executive Officer of Medifast. GUIDANCE:

Medifast sees Q1 2020 EPS of $1.35-$1.42, versus the consensus of $1.61. Medifast sees Q1 2020 revenue of $166-171 million, versus the consensus of $175.63 million.

Medifast sees FY2020 EPS of $6.25-$6.55, versus the consensus of $6.70. Medifast sees FY2020 revenue of $715-745 million, versus the consensus of $782.29 million.
