Amazon (AMZN) Misses Q2 EPS by 35c, Revenue Beats, Offers Q3 Guidance
Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN) reported Q2 EPS of $5.22, $0.35 worse than the analyst estimate of $5.57. Revenue for the quarter came in at $63.4 billion versus the consensus estimate of $62.48 billion.
GUIDANCE:
Amazon sees Q3 2019 revenue of $66-70 billion, versus the consensus of $67.27 billion.
- Operating income is expected to be between $2.1 billion and $3.1 billion, compared with $3.7 billion in third quarter 2018.
- This guidance assumes, among other things, that no additional business acquisitions, investments, restructurings, or legal settlements are concluded.
