OraSure Technologies (OSUR) Tops Q1 EPS by 1c, Revenues Beat; Offers Q2 & FY19 EPS/Revenue Guidance
OraSure Technologies (NASDAQ: OSUR) reported Q1 EPS of ($0.05), $0.01 better than the analyst estimate of ($0.06). Revenue for the quarter came in at $30.12 million versus the consensus estimate of $29.85 million.
“Our first quarter 2019 performance was in line with our expectations for both the top and bottom lines,” said Stephen S. Tang, Ph.D., President and CEO of OraSure Technologies. “We are optimistic about the second quarter and full-year performance of our underlying businesses, despite the impact of a previously announced change in market approach by a large consumer genetics customer. The foundations of our business are strong, and we believe we are on the right path with our innovation-driven growth strategy.”

Our microbiome business has continued to grow year-over-year in every quarter since we first began breaking out its revenues in 2016. Our recent acquisitions are just the first examples of implementation of our growth strategy and we remain committed to making additional strategic growth investments.”

OraSure Technologies sees Q2 2019 EPS of $0.02, versus the consensus of $0.03. OraSure Technologies sees Q2 2019 revenue of $40-42 million, versus the consensus of $10.37 million.
OraSure Technologies sees FY2019 EPS of $0.22-$0.24, versus the consensus of $0.22. OraSure Technologies sees FY2019 revenue of $170-175 million, versus the consensus of $172.79 million.
