nVent Electric (NVT) Reports In-Line Q1 EPS, Revenues Miss; FY19 EPS Guidance Below Consensus, 2Q EPS Mid-Point Below Consensus
nVent Electric (NYSE: NVT) reported Q1 EPS of $0.39, in-line with the analyst estimate of $0.39. Revenue for the quarter came in at $538 million versus the consensus estimate of $546.84 million.
- Reported sales of $538 million were flat; Organic sales up 3%
- Reported EPS of $0.32; Adjusted EPS of $0.39
- Reported return on sales of 14.4% or 17.9% on an adjusted basis
- Repurchased approximately $110 million in nVent shares year-to-date
"We are off to a good start in 2019, growing in all three segments. We\'re making steady progress on our goals including solid margin expansion in our Enclosures segment," said Beth Wozniak, nVent\'s chief executive officer. "Our first quarter performance puts us on track to deliver on our 2019 commitments."
GUIDANCE:
nVent Electric sees FY2019 EPS of $1.80-$1.90, versus the consensus of $1.87.
nVent Electric sees Q2 2019 EPS of $0.42-$0.46, versus the consensus of $0.47.
