Novanta (NOVT) Tops Q4 EPS by 5c, Revenues Beat; Q1 EPS/Revenue Guidance Below Consensus; Offers FY19 EPS/Revenue Guidance

Novanta (NASDAQ: NOVT) reported Q4 EPS of $0.56, $0.05 better than the analyst estimate of $0.51. Revenue for the quarter came in at $156.2 million versus the consensus estimate of $154.5 million.

“2018 was an excellent year for Novanta with solid execution and good financial results,” said Matthijs Glastra, Chief Executive Officer of Novanta. “We delivered on our promises for robust top line growth and bottom-line profitability. For the full year, reported revenuegrowth was very strong at 18%, our Adjusted EPS grew 35% and Adjusted EBITDA grew 17%. As we head into 2019, we remain very confident in our strategy, our business model and our team’s commitment and ability to deliver results.”

GUIDANCE:

Novanta sees Q1 2019 EPS of $0.44-$0.49, versus the consensus of $0.52. Novanta sees Q1 2019 revenue of $154-157 million, versus the consensus of $157.06 million.

Novanta sees FY2019 EPS of $2.30-$2.36, versus the consensus of $2.33. Novanta sees FY2019 revenue of $645-655 million, versus the consensus of $649.31 million.
