Mercury Systems (MRCY) Tops Q2 EPS by 5c, Revenues Beat; Offers Q3 & FY19 Revenue Guidance Above Consensus, Provide Q3 & FY19 EPS Outlook

Mercury Systems (NASDAQ: MRCY) reported Q2 EPS of $0.47, $0.05 better than the analyst estimate of $0.42. Revenue for the quarter came in at $159.1 million versus the consensus estimate of $154.33 million.

Management Comments“The business performed extremely well in the second quarter of fiscal year 2019,” said Mark Aslett, Mercury’s President and Chief Executive Officer. “We delivered record revenue and continued strong bookings growth which led to a record ending total backlog. We exceeded our guidance for revenue and profitability in addition to delivering strong cash flow. We continued to execute well on our strategy growing organic revenues by 11% year over year as well as completing our fifth strategic acquisition in the C4I market over the past two fiscal years. Given our very strong performance in the first half of fiscal 2019, our record backlog and current business outlook we are raising our full year guidance,” concluded Aslett.

GUIDANCE:

Mercury Systems sees Q3 2019 EPS of $0.43-$0.46, versus the consensus of $0.44. Mercury Systems sees Q3 2019 revenue of $162.2-167.7 million, versus the consensus of $155.79 million.

Mercury Systems sees FY2019 EPS of $1.72-$1.80, versus the consensus of $1.75. Mercury Systems sees FY2019 revenue of $631-646 million, versus the consensus of $622.04 million.
