Apple (AAPL) Cuts Production on All 3 New iPhone Models - WSJ
Shares of Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) and its suppliers are on watch Monday following a Wall Street Journal report that the company slashed production orders for all three iPhone models that it unveiled in September.
The Journal report adds credence to the recent conjecture of lower iPhone production voiced by analysts over the past several weeks following profit warnings from several suppliers, including Lumentum Holdings (NASDAQ: LITE).
The Journal said the cuts have frustrated suppliers and created turmoil along its supply chain.
The iPhone XR has seen the worst cuts, the Journal reported, with production cut by up to a third.
