Wells Fargo Advisors Launches Envision® Scenarios

New online collaboration tool helps deepen client and financial advisor relationships

ST. LOUIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Wells Fargo Advisors announced today the launch of Envision® Scenarios, an online tool that allows investors to model how changing their own investment decisions can impact their investment goals for the better — or worse.

Envision Scenarios gives current Wells Fargo Advisors clients with Envision Plans a new, real-time view into how different decisions could potentially affect their retirement or other investment plans. Clients can create up to four scenarios at a time to model how various saving and investing changes could potentially alter their retirement plans and other investment goals. Envision Scenarios does not change the client’s underlying Envision plan; it allows the financial advisor to see what the client is thinking about and provides an opportunity for even deeper conversations about the client’s life and financial plans.

Envision Scenarios is designed to help give answers to the ‘What if?’ questions people have when it comes to their investment plans,” said Joe Nadreau, head of Wells Fargo Advisors Innovation & Strategy. “The tool allows investors to dig into their plan and learn how different decisions, or scenarios, may impact their dreams. They can adjust their goals and instantly view how big or small changes may impact their existing plan. This tool is a first in providing investors a real-life and real-time look into future possibilities.”

Financial Advisors are notified when clients make changes, can review the various scenarios, and then connect with the client to ask questions and offer advice on which elements to build into the underlying plan. In addition, advisors can create scenarios for their clients within the online tool — as part of their approach to unique client service and advice.

Envision Scenarios is a win for our clients and our advisors,” said Nadreau. “It gives our clients a new way to digitally collaborate with their advisor, and it also empowers them to be more involved with their investment plans and the Envision process. For advisors, it provides another way to connect with their full-service clients. Other online tools provide probability modeling, but they don’t offer the collaborative aspect of Envision Scenarios, which brings the client and financial advisor together for conversation either directly within the online tool or for a meeting about the plan.”

Financial Advisors are engaging with Envision® Scenarios

Michael Dechiario, a Wells Fargo Advisors Financial Advisor since 1997 in Radnor, Pennsylvania, has been using the Envision platform since its inception in 2003. Dechiario shares, “The Envision tool itself is a purpose-driven process, and Envision Scenarios is a purpose-driven discovery. As clients age, their goals can change. To think that just because you know your clients at one point in time that you fully understand them is nuts. People change. Their dreams change. You are never done learning about your clients.”

Online demonstrations of Envision Scenarios are available by emailing Jackie Knolhoff.
