On August 9, 2018, Stage Stores, Inc. (“we,” “our” or “registrant”) issued a news release announcing that we will release our second quarter fiscal 2018 financial results on Thursday, August 23, 2018. The release of our second quarter fiscal 2018 results will be followed by a pre-recorded conference call, which will occur at 8:30 a.m. Eastern Time on the same day. A copy of the news release is attached to this Form 8-K as Exhibit 99.

Stage Stores Announces Second Quarter Earnings Release Date and Conference Call Information
HOUSTON, TX, August 9, 2018 - Stage Stores, Inc. (NYSE: SSI) today announced that it will release its second quarter fiscal 2018 financial results on Thursday, August 23, 2018. The release of the Company’s results will be followed by a pre-recorded conference call, which will occur at 8:30 a.m. Eastern Time on the same day.
