O'Reilly Automotive (ORLY) Tops Q1 EPS by 3c; Comps Rise 3.4%

O'Reilly Automotive (NASDAQ: ORLY) reported Q1 EPS of $3.61, $0.03 better than the analyst estimate of $3.58. Revenue for the quarter came in at $2.28 billion versus the consensus estimate of $2.28 billion. First quarter comparable store sales increase of 3.4%.

Greg Henslee, O’Reilly’s CEO, commented, “Our Team’s dedication to excellent customer service drove a 3.4% increase in comparable store sales, which was above the mid-point of our guidance for the first quarter, and our relentless focus on profitable growth translated this top-line performance into a 5% increase in operating profit dollars and a 28% increase in diluted earnings per share for the first quarter. GUIDANCE:

O'Reilly Automotive sees Q2 2018 EPS of $3.95-$4.05, versus the consensus of $4.02.

O'Reilly Automotive sees FY2018 EPS of $15.30-$15.40, versus the consensus of $15.46. O'Reilly Automotive sees FY2018 revenue of $9.4-9.6 billion, versus the consensus of $9.48 billion.
