Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) plans to move from Intel (NASDAQ: INTC) to its own Mac chips, Bloomberg reported.

The Apple Mac chip move is said to begin as soon as 2020, the report added.

The Apple initiative is code-named Kalamata and is part of a larger plan to make all of Apple’s devices work more similarly and seamlessly together.

Apple makes up about 5% of Intel's annual revenue.
