Walmart (WMT) Misses Q4 EPS by 4c, Sales Beat; Raises Dividend 2%

Walmart (NYSE: WMT) reported Q4 EPS of $1.33, $0.04 worse than the analyst estimate of $1.37. Revenue for the quarter came in at $136.3 billion versus the consensus estimate of $134.91 billion.
- Walmart U.S. comp sales increased 2.6%, and comp traffic increased 1.6%.
eCommerce sales and GMV at Walmart U.S. increased 23% and 24%, respectively.
Sam's Club comp sales, excluding fuel, increased 2.4% led by comp traffic growth of 4.3%.
GUIDANCE:
Walmart sees FY2019 EPS of $4.75-$5.00, versus the consensus of $4.97.
DIVIDEND:
The Board of Directors of Walmart Inc. approved an annual cash dividend for fiscal year 2019 of $2.08 per share, an increase of 2 percent from the $2.04 per share paid for the last fiscal year. The fiscal year 2019 annual dividend of $2.08 per share will be paid in four quarterly installments of $0.52 per share.
