1. This transaction was effected pursuant to a Rule 10b5-1 trading plan adopted by the reporting person on November 15, 2017.
2. Represents the weighted average price of the shares sold. The prices actually received ranged from $216.005 to $216.24 per share. The reporting person will provide to the issuer, any security holder of the issuer, or the Securities and Exchange Commission, upon request, information regarding the number of shares sold at each price within the range.
3. Represents the weighted average price of the shares sold. The prices actually received ranged from $215.00 to $215.315 per share. The reporting person will provide to the issuer, any security holder of the issuer, or the Securities and Exchange Commission, upon request, information regarding the number of shares sold at each price within the range.
4. The reporting person's economic interest in Cigna securities also includes hypothetical shares of common stock, the value of which is tied directly to the value of Cigna stock. Under the rules of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Table I excludes these hypothetical shares because they are settled in cash, rather than Cigna stock, upon separation from service.
