lululemon athletica (NASDAQ: LULU) gains in early trade amid Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN) takeover speculation. Shares up 1.5%.

UPDATE: comments came from DA Davidson analyst Tom Forte on Bloomberg's 'What'd You Miss?' Tuesday afternoon. Forte highlights that Amazon takes a "build first, buy second" approach to M&A, as witness by Whole Foods. He feels now is the time Amazon is ready to "buy" to expand in apparel and says a takeover of lululemon "makes the most sense" so it can go after the strongest apparel category - athleisure.
