Wal-mart (WMT) Tops Q2 EPS by 1c, Q3 EPS Guidance Comes in Light
Wal-mart (NYSE: WMT) reported Q2 EPS of $1.08, $0.01 better than the analyst estimate of $1.07. Revenue for the quarter came in at $123.4 billion versus the consensus estimate of $122.84 billion.
- Walmart U.S. comp sales increased 1.8% with traffic growth of 1.3%, marking the twelfth consecutive quarter with positive comp sales.
GUIDANCE:
Wal-mart sees Q3 2018 EPS of $0.90-$0.98, versus the consensus of $0.98.
Wal-mart sees FY2018 EPS of $4.30-$4.40, versus the consensus of $4.39.
