American Superconductor (AMSC) Tops Q1 EPS by 10c

American Superconductor (NASDAQ: AMSC) reported Q1 EPS of ($0.92), $0.10 better than the analyst estimate of ($1.02). Revenue for the quarter came in at $8.9 million versus the consensus estimate of $8.46 million.

GUIDANCE:

American Superconductor sees Q2 2017 EPS of ($0.73). American Superconductor sees Q2 2017 revenue of $9-13 million.

"For the second quarter ending September 30, 2017, AMSC expects that its revenues will be in the range of $9.0 million to $13.0 million. The Company’s net loss for the second quarter of fiscal 2017 is expected to be less than $14.0 million, or $0.73 per share. The Company's non-GAAP net loss is expected to be less than $13.5 million, or $0.70 per share. The Company expects a cash burn of $7.0 million to $8.0 million in the second quarter of fiscal 2017."
