'Tech Looks Very Dangerous Here' - Odeon Capital

June 15, 2017 8:57 AM

Odeon Capital's Jahanara Nissar weighs in on the continued sell-off in tech, saying she is not surprised by the move.

"I am not surprised by this action as I pointed out on Tuesday that Investors I talk to are NOT willing to buy at current levels," Nissar commented. "Tech looks very dangerous here and the right move (so far) is to take profits in tech and move to the sidelines for now."

She said don’t be fooled by a positive read though for JBL from AAPL. "It’s NOT about the June quarter that moves the needle for AAPL and JBL’s quarter does NOT provide any clarity on September and beyond," she said. " As stated earlier in May 3rd note – it’s prudent to remain on the sidelines on AAPL."

The analyst also said with the focus on FANG, don't forget about NVDA which had a massive run from $103 in early May and is ripe for profit taking as well.

She believes profit taking will continue in Semis and she like select names such as CY, CAVM, INTC, AMD & MU as names to own in the 2nd-half.
