Ciena (NYSE: CIEN) reported Q2 EPS of $0.45, $0.08 better than the analyst estimate of $0.37. Revenue for the quarter came in at $707 million versus the consensus estimate of $695.76 million.

Q3 GUIDANCE:

• Ciena sees Q3 2017 revenue of $710-740 million, versus the consensus of $723.32 million.
• Adjusted (non-GAAP) gross margin in the mid-40s percentage range
• Adjusted (non-GAAP) operating expense of approximately $235 million
