Target (TGT) Tops Q3 EPS by 21c; Comps Outpace; Outlook Raised
Target (NYSE: TGT) reported Q3 EPS of $1.04, $0.21 better than the analyst estimate of $0.83. Revenue for the quarter came in at $0 versus the consensus estimate of $16.3 billion.
Comps fell 0.2 percent, versus a 1.1 percent drop expected.
GUIDANCE:
Target sees Q4 2016 EPS of $1.55-$1.75, versus the consensus of $1.60. Target raised its expectations for fourth quarter comparable sales and now expects growth in the range of (1.0) percent to 1.0 percent.
Target sees FY2016 EPS of $5.10-$5.30, versus prior guidance of $4.30-$5.20 and the consensus of $4.94.
