Woodward (WWD) Tops Q3 EPS by 5c
Woodward (NASDAQ: WWD) reported Q3 EPS of $0.81, $0.05 better than the analyst estimate of $0.76. Revenue for the quarter came in at $508 million versus the consensus estimate of $520.18 million.
"Our Aerospace segment delivered solid performance in both commercial and defense with accelerated growth this quarter. Our Industrial segment results reflected improved sequential performance, but weaker than anticipated global economic conditions have led to a reluctance by end-users to invest in new projects,” said Thomas A. Gendron, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. “Despite these continued Industrial headwinds, we delivered a solid quarter overall and are well-positioned to drive long-term value for our shareholders.”
GUIDANCE:
Woodward sees FY2016 EPS of $2.75-$2.95, versus the consensus of $2.76. Woodward sees FY2016 revenue of $2 billion, versus the consensus of $2.05 billion.
