Medtronic (MDT) Tops Q4 EPS by 1c
Medtronic (NYSE: MDT) reported Q4 EPS of $1.27, $0.01 better than the analyst estimate of $1.26. Revenue for the quarter came in at $7.57 billion versus the consensus estimate of $7.49 billion.
GUIDANCE:
Medtronic sees FY2017 EPS of $4.60-$4.70, versus the consensus of $4.70.
In fiscal year 2017, given current trends, the company expects constant currency revenue growth to be in the upper-half of the mid-single digit range, which is in the range of 5 to 6 percent and excludes the estimated negative 150 basis point impact from the extra selling week the company had in the first quarter of fiscal year 2016. The company expects a negative impact from foreign currency in fiscal year 2017 of approximately $25 to $75 million based on current exchange rates.
