Stein Mart (NASDAQ: SMRT) reported Q1 EPS of $0.30, $0.04 better than the analyst estimate of $0.26. Revenue for the quarter came in at $355.7 million versus the consensus estimate of $364.77 million.

Comparable store sales decreased 3.4 percent due to lower traffic and lower average unit retail (AUR). AUR was lower due to a higher amount of fall clearance selling this quarter compared to the first quarter of 2015.
