UPDATE: Monro Muffler (MNRO) Misses Q4 EPS by 3c; Guides FY17 EPS to Strong-Side of Views
Monro Muffler (NASDAQ: MNRO) reported Q4 EPS of $0.42, $0.03 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.45. Revenue for the quarter came in at $229 million versus the consensus estimate of $238.59 million.
Comparable store sales increased approximately 5% for both alignments and brakes and 2% for tires. This was partially offset by decreases of approximately 2% for maintenance services, 4% for front end/shocks and 8% for exhaust.
GUIDANCE:
Monro Muffler sees FY2017 EPS of $2.05-$2.20, versus the consensus of $2.05.
For the first quarter of fiscal 2017, the Company anticipates sales to be in the range of $230 million to $240 million, and comparable store sales to decrease 8.0% to 5.0%. The Company expects diluted earnings per share for the first quarter to be between $.47 and $.51, as compared to $.57 in the prior year period.
