Juniper Networks (JNPR) Misses Q1 EPS by 1c; Issues Lackluster Guidance

Juniper Networks (NYSE: JNPR) reported Q1 EPS of $0.37, $0.01 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.38. Revenue for the quarter came in at $1.1 billion versus the consensus estimate of $1.12 billion.

GUIDANCE:

Juniper Networks sees Q2 2016 EPS of $0.44-$0.50, versus the consensus of $0.50. Juniper Networks sees Q2 2016 revenue of $1.16-1.22 billion, versus the consensus of $1.21 billion.

"While our results for the March quarter were disappointing, we remain constructive on the full year and encouraged by early customer feedback on our recently introduced new products," said Rami Rahim, chief executive officer at Juniper Networks.

"We are taking a conservative and prudent approach to managing our business, while at the same time targeting areas that represent growth opportunities for the Company," said Ken Miller, chief financial officer at Juniper Networks. "We remain fully committed to shareholder value creation via a focus on introducing innovative products and services, operational excellence, and consistent capital returns."
