Tesla (TSLA) Model 3 Production Expected to Remain on Schedule
Ahead of Tesla Motors' (Nasdaq: TSLA) Model 3 event on Thursday, Global Equities says it doesn't believe that there will be a delay to Model 3 production.
Analyst Trip Chowdhry noted the following points on Wednesday:
-- Model 3 Chassis design got completed in 2015
- Chris Porritt, who comes from Aston Martin is no dope ... he has been working on the chassis design for both Model X and Model 3 since 2014
- It is widely believed Model 3 chassis design got a "Freeze" around August - October of 2015
-- Model 3 will be built using steel and not Aluminum (Model S and Model X is built using Steel)...Steel by itself reduces the production time by half
Global Equities has Tesla at Overweight with a price target of $385.
