Stifel Affirms Abercrombie & Fitch (ANF) at 'Buy';; Q4 Results Solid Amid Challenging Environment
Stifel is out with initial commentary on Abercrombie & Fitch (NYSE: ANF) following Q4 results issued earlier Wednesday.
Analyst Richard Jaffe noted that Abercrombie & Fitch's Q4 EPS of $1.08 came in above the firm's $0.95 expectation. The analyst commented, Above expectation results were achieved despite a challenging holiday environment that included currency, traffic and weather headwinds. Despite these challenges, ANF was able to return to positive comparable sales as customers responded favorably to the company’s improved merchandise assortments despite reduced promotions. We believe ANF’s momentum is sustainable driven by: continued merchandise improvement (fueled by better talent and inventory management), expense reductions and easy comparisons.
Stifel rates Abercrombie & Fitch at Buy with a price target of $30.
