Target (TGT) Misses Q4 EPS by 2c; FY16 EPS Guidance Tops Views
Target (NYSE: TGT) reported Q4 EPS of $1.52, $0.02 worse than the analyst estimate of $1.54. Revenue for the quarter came in at $21.6 billion versus the consensus estimate of $21.75 billion.
- Fourth quarter comparable sales increased 1.9 percent, driven by traffic growth of 1.3 percent. Digital channel sales increased 34 percent, contributing 1.3 percentage points to comparable sales growth.
- Fourth quarter comparable sales in signature categories (Style, Baby, Kids and Wellness) grew more than three times faster than the company average.
GUIDANCE:
Target sees Q1 2016 EPS of $1.15 - $1.25, versus the consensus of $1.19.
Target sees FY2016 EPS of $5.20 - $5.40, versus the consensus of $5.16.
