Estée Lauder (EL) Tops Q2 EPS by 11c; Issues Light Q1, FY16 EPS Outlook
Estée Lauder (NYSE: EL) reported Q2 EPS of $1.22, $0.11 better than the analyst estimate of $1.11. Revenue for the quarter came in at $3 billion versus the consensus estimate of $3.08 billion.
For the quarter, the negative impact of foreign currency translation on diluted net earnings per common share was $.11. Excluding the impact of foreign currency translation, net sales increased 8% and diluted net earnings per common share rose 15%.
GUIDANCE:
Estée Lauder sees Q3 2016 EPS of $0.53-$0.58, versus the consensus of $0.76.
Estée Lauder sees FY2016 EPS of $3.07-$3.12, versus the consensus of $3.60.
