Electronic Arts (EA) Tops Q3 EPS by 2c; Issues Mixed Outlook
Electronic Arts (NASDAQ: EA) reported Q3 EPS of $1.83, $0.02 better than the analyst estimate of $1.81. Revenue for the quarter came in at $1.8 billion versus the consensus estimate of $1.81 billion.
GUIDANCE:
Electronic Arts sees Q4 2016 EPS of $0.40, versus the consensus of $0.50. Electronic Arts sees Q4 2016 revenue of $1.275 billion, versus the consensus of $915.41 million.
Electronic Arts sees FY2016 EPS of $3.04, versus the consensus of $3.10. Electronic Arts sees FY2016 revenue of $4.363 billion, versus the consensus of $4.56 billion.
"This holiday season we connected millions of players through amazing games across multiple platforms,” said Chief Executive Officer Andrew Wilson. “From the stunning visuals and gameplay of STAR WARS Battlefront, to the anytime, anywhere competition in Madden NFL Mobile, players are deeply engaged across the increasing depth and breadth of the EA portfolio.”
“It was a great quarter with non-GAAP revenue and earnings that exceeded our guidance,” said Chief Financial Officer Blake Jorgensen. “Our results were driven by strong performances fromSTAR WARS Battlefront, Need for Speed, Ultimate Team and catalog titles.”
