Boeing (BA) Plans to Trims 777 Production; Sees 787 Deliveries at 12/Month by mid-2016

January 27, 2016 11:01 AM

On today's conference call, Boeing (NYSE: BA) said it planned to shift 777 production to 7 per month, or 84 per year. That's down slightly from the current rate at 100 per year, as reported earlier.

The 777 is sold out for 2016 and 80 percent sold out at the new rate for 2017.

Boeing also said it plans to raise 737 output from 52 jets per year by 2018 to 57 by 2019.

The company sees 787 deliveries moving to 12 per month by the middle of this year. Production costs for the jet are expected to fall once that delivery milestone is reached.
