Twitter (NYSE: TWTR) shares are on watch following news that Facebook (Nasdaq: FB) is launching a real-time sports program.

According to Reuters, the platform, named Facebook Sports Stadium, will offer real-time updates on games, expert commentary, and statistics.

Twitter has been known for breaking, real-time updates on news and sports, so this might be an effort to take some of that market share.
