UPDATE: Wal-mart (WMT) Cheif Marketing Officer Quinn Said Leaving Next Month
Wal-mart (NYSE: WMT) marketing chief Quinn said leaving next month, according to Dow Jones.
UPDATE - Quinn has been Chief Marketing Officer at Wal-mart since 2007.
January is the end of Wal-mart's fiscal year.
Wal-mart is also said planning to hire Michael Francis as marketing consultant. Francis worked at Target (NYSE: TGT) for almost 30 years. The exec will implement a broad marketing revamp at Wal-mart and is likely to work closely with Quinn's successor.
Shares of Wal-mart are up around 1 percent.
