Kona Grill's (KONA) Weak SSS Growth Contributes to EPS Miss; Wedbush Cuts Price Target to $25
Wedbush maintained an Outperform rating on Kona Grill (NASDAQ: KONA), and cut the price target to $25.00 (from $30.00), following 3Q results and 4Q guidance. EPS of ($0.13) was below ($0.11) consensus on SSS growth of 1.6% vs. 1.7% consensus. Q4 guidance calls for $38M in revenue with “slightly positive” SSS growth, resulting in EPS of ($0.18).
Analyst Nick Setyan commented, "We believe Kona Grill is well-positioned to garner a premium to growth peers based on growing investor awareness of its best-in-class growth metrics and outperformance relative to 2016 expectations."
