Microsoft (MSFT) Exec Trolls Apple CEO Cook Ahead of Windows 10 Device Event
One Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) executive was apparently trolling Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) CEO Tim Cook ahead of the company's Windows 10 devices event today.
Head of Windows and Devices posted the following to his Twitter account earlier Tuesday:
@maryjofoley, @alex, @thurrott, @tomwarren hope you enjoy the show today…pay attention – some new things might pop up pic.twitter.com/yHbgfLNyfN
— Terry Myerson (@tmyerson) October 6, 2015The post refers to comments from Tim Cook during Apple's Q212 conference call, is which he quipped about tablet/laptop hybrids. Cook said anything can be forced to converge, but the problem is that products are about tradeoffs, and you begin to make tradeoffs to the point where what you have left doesn't please anyone. You can converge a toaster and a refrigerator, but those things are probably not gonna be pleasing to the user.
Notably, Myerson didn't tag @tim_cook in the post.
